Culinary Arts Diploma

The Culinary Arts Diploma Program is designed to teach the students the art of cooking and presentation and everything related to the culinary arts based on specially designed classes or diploma programs on various areas of culinary arts. Like planning, management, food preparation classes with speciality in cooking, baking etc. these classes are a combination of theory, practice through the practice classes designed for the students to have hands on experience.

Culinary Arts Diploma course is a generally a 650-hour comprehensive curriculum for skill development through technique, palate training, speed and teamwork. This approach assures that culinary arts students can quickly get through the program, while learning the elements that are essential for a successful culinary career.

Culinary Arts Diploma classes are designed to teach specific skills, which gradually become more complex as the program progresses and begun by training students how to taste and the students and the further learn to appreciate the wide variety of foodsfrom herbs and condiments to vegetables and meats then students are immersed in techniques, such as knife skills, dry- and moist-heat cooking methods, sauce making, restaurant simulations, and pastry and baking, among others. After completing these diploma classes the students grow more confident, they build skills and master to create increasingly complex dishes and design menus. On completion of these diploma coursesthe student will be able to approach any cooking task with ease and have a successful career in culinary arts. In some special culinary arts courses the students can learn about the ingredients and techniques of cooking from countries around the world, like India, Japan, Thailand, China, Italy and Spain.This helps the students to master in various cuisines.

Culinary Arts Diplomalessons conclude with a group tasting and working under a  Chef-Instructor, so that students continue to develop their palates, identify successes and learn to solve problems. The size of the culinary arts diploma classes is generally small and the students are between15to 20 in number this ensures individual attention, which helps each student progress through the program and gain confidence and proficiency.

The duration of the culinary arts diploma class is generally  440-hours of in-class training and off-site training for 210-hour culinary externship, this helps in putting the skills learned into test, and helpful to continuing the educational process in a restaurant, hotel, catering kitchen or other culinary enterprise.
